A wonderful street view of 1960’s Montreal by accomplished artist David Clavier . The piece is oil on board, and in excellent condition, without issue. Below is a chapter of his son Ron Clavier, also a very accomplished artist’s unreleased book, soon to be published. Price available upon request.

Often we acquire pieces that require further research. This is one of those pieces. This painting is signed only "Clavier 77". I researched artists with this last name and came up with a possible match .... Dr. Ron Clavier, a well known artist living in the Niagara Region. I reached out to Ron and was pleasantly surprised that the painting was by his father David Clavier. Dr. Clavier sent me a copy of his memoir that he is completing, with a chapter devoted to his father David. A very interesting read..... names mentioned are Arthur Lismer, Joseph Ribkoff, and Walt Disney.
